Fall 2025 NEA

My Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

We are living in a time of great excitement, and great change, for our Diocese and for the Anglican Church. As most of you have already heard, this autumn our National Synod is taking a final vote to rejoin with our sister jurisdiction, the Anglican Catholic Church. The full scope of this reunion won’t be felt for many years, but there will be certain immediate impacts for us as a Diocese. The main thing that we will see is that our Diocese will have grown. We will be merging with the Diocese of the Resurrection (ACC). Most of their parishes will be rejoined with us. The diocesan boundaries will change slightly. We will be welcoming in the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania within the area of the Diocese. Bishop Florenza and I have met together and have determined that he will retire and I will become the Bishop Ordinary of the combined Diocese. Although there will be some changes of names of diocesan committees, the functioning of the Diocese will remain pretty much the same. More detailed information will be presented at our Diocesan Synod at the end of September. Make sure your parish delegates register and attend!

The main thing that will NOT change is that we will continue, as a combined Diocese and Church, to worship and proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord. We are one in Him. We have as our mission to deepen our spiritual understanding of the love and mercy of God in Christ and to reach out into the world with His saving grace.

Organizational efforts are important, but NOTHING is as important as Jesus. Please make sure that you are worshiping Him and telling others of His great grace.

I look for-ward eagerly to seeing you all at the Synod in Con-cord! May God continue to bless you as we move forward in His Name.

Your brother and Bishop,

+ Hendy Webb
