After several months of planning and preparation along with God's grace, our very first Virtual Synod is in the history books. Of the approximately twenty - twenty five in actual attendance along with the 50+ who joined in via Zoom, our first attempt at a Covid safe Synod and combined Fall Clericus was indeed a success.
Special efforts by Trinity Rochester's administrative team and clergy combined with the Bishop's back office team allowed for a smooth and effective blend of ministry and Diocesan business to be conducted without unnecessary risk.
Many thanks are due to a large team of on the ground servants who helped to mange the necessary logistics and support for our entire Northeast Diocese under stressful and difficult circumstances.
Over a two day period, Clericus, Synod, and a Ordination to the Sacred order of Deacons was accomplished without any major issues. Fr. Matt Mirabile and host Trinity Rochester did an amazing job of hosting and supporting our Diocese. Bishop Marsh along with the executive team led us through a smooth series of meetings and presentations for the benefit of us all.
